  •  Within this tutorial we are talking about Diskless Server and GACAPE's Game Update for the Internet Games Center. Feature and application of other services we will mention later.
  • Before going into the installation and use of GACAPE, we should read through this tutorial to get an overview of the GACAPE system, we will understand the interactions between programs as interconnects. Incorporate the "modules" to create a complete GACAPE system. 
  • GACAPE has two parts: the GACAPE Core part runs on Linux and the GACAPE part of the Windows operating system. We will unify the way we call:
o    Core GACAPE Linux server will be called "Core Server"
o    The Windows server installed the GACAPE driver program called "GACAPE Server".
  • Speaking of "GACAPE running on Linux", more or less technical people who do not understand Linux will be reluctant to come into contact with this system. In fact, to install and use GACAPE on Linux is very simple, the product development department has made a complete, since the ISO Kernel Linux release integrated Core GACAPE to the Linux management is also supported by the The tool is available to help users quickly install without having to pay attention to issues such as file system format for Linux, format boot partition for Linux, install Core GACAPE to Linux.   • The GACAPE driver runs under Windows , and we can install it directly on a Windows machine and connect (via IP) with Core GACAPE (running on Linux). In this tutorial, we will not install this driver on a Windows PC that will use it in a virtual machine . In the new versions of GACAPE, the Linux operating system has a built-in KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine) program. To use a KVM virtual machine, we import a disk image into the data partition of the Linux machine, configure KVM to run this Disk Image, and so on we will have a server running the operating system.   • Core Server

  •  GACAPE Server:
o    Diskless, Vdisk and Update game controls.
o    Runs on Windows platform.
o    Connect to Core Server via IP address
  • GACAPE Client:
o    Hard disk workstation, with GACAPE game menu
o    Get and access data from virtual hard disks: System Disk, Game Disk.

Preparation steps
1. Preparing for Core Server:
  • SSD (x2): Capacity 120/240 depending on demand
o    SSD 1: Divide (automatically) into 4 partitions as follows:
o    1 partition install Linux
o    1 Swap partition for Linux
o    A "Data" partition uses Disk Image storage for the KVM virtual machine
o    Partition 1 stores the Disk Image for the workstation
o    SSD 2: Used to store Writeback-Cache for workstations
  • HDD (x1): 1T (or larger depending on demand): Archive game. (SSD can be used to store games).
  • Network card: Minimum 1 Ethernet ports for 30 Clients
  • RAM: 8Gb or 16GB or 32GB
2. Preparing for Gacape Server:
  • SSD (x1): Capacity 120/240 depending on demand
  • RAM 4GB or Highest
3. Preparing for workstation:
  • 1GB network card
  •  HDD (x1) or SSD: Install OS, programs needed to upload Disk Image.

4. Prepare tool and installer:
  • 1 USB Stick for used to build Linux instaler
  •  Iso Hintsoft : ISO file install Linux integrated Core Gacape
  • Rufus : Tool used to create USB Boot Linux:
  • DisklessWizard : Tool to install Core Server over LAN, Remote and upload Disk Image for KVM (virtual machine), Disk Image for workstation.
  • GacapeServer.Zip : Install Gacape Server
  • Gacape Menu.zip : Installer Gacape Client (Includes game menu and upload tool Disk Image.)
  • PNP.zip : Tool using Import, Export Driver Network Card (PNP)
The sequence of steps to install a complete GACAPE system
1. Install Core Server
  • Install Core Server via USB or
  • Install Core Server over LAN using Tool Diskless Wizard
2. Use the Diskless Wizard Tool to:
  •  Initialize KVM virtual machine and upload Disk Image to Gacape Server
  • Upload Disk Image for workstations.
3. Remote Desktop into Gacape Server:
  • Basic configuration
  • Create workstation list
  • Configure game update
4. Open the workstation select boot from the network
  • Register hostname via boot interface
  • Boot into the OS
  • Open Super installed programs or Admin Diskless Workstation needed
  •  Close Super or Admin Diskless Workstation
